Eric Brooks was born a Daywalker - half-human, half-vampire - because his mother was bitten by a vampire while Eric was still in her womb. His supernatural powers and mastery of weapons made him the perfect vampire hunter - Blade.
When Dracula took over New York City, Blade was the first hero to confront him. Having mastered the power of the Chronovium, Dracula defeated Blade and imprisoned him in a dungeon. After Blade was freed, he was sent to Wakanda to recover... until Shuri recruited him as her most powerful ally against Knull!
