Queue prep and review

Marvel Rivals Ranked Checklist

A practical Pocket Rivals checklist for Bronze-to-Platinum players who want one clear ranked habit before queueing, after a lost fight, before swapping, or after a match review.

Before queue · after fight · after match

How to use it

Pick one checklist, then queue with one rule

Do not try to fix every ranked habit at once. Choose the moment you are in, answer the checks honestly, open one related route, and take the smallest useful adjustment into the next fight.

Before queue

Pick one job before picking the hero

Use this when you are about to lock in but the lobby already feels unclear.

Choose a ranked path
  1. 1.1I can explain my first fight job in one sentence.
  2. 1.2I know my safe swap if the enemy solves my first pick.
  3. 1.3I know whether my team needs space, pressure, or stability most.
  4. 1.4I checked whether a recent official update changed the current read.

After one lost fight

Name the repeated pattern before changing everything

Use this when the team loses a fight and the scoreboard is tempting you into a panic swap.

Read pressure patterns
  1. 2.1Did we lose to dive, poke, setup, brawl, sustain, or stagger?
  2. 2.2Did I spend my survival tool before the real engage arrived?
  3. 2.3Did my team fight from the same bad route twice?
  4. 2.4Can one call fix the next fight before a hero swap is needed?

When swapping

Swap only when the new pick has a clear first play

Use this when a counter pick looks obvious but you are not sure how it wins the next fight.

Swap without throwing
  1. 3.1The new hero answers the repeated enemy problem, not just my frustration.
  2. 3.2The new hero still fits my team's space, pressure, or stability needs.
  3. 3.3I know the first cooldown or angle I am trying to deny.
  4. 3.4I can play the safer version of the hero under pressure.

After the match

Turn one loss into one next-match habit

Use this when the match is over and you want a useful review note without sharing private details.

See coach examples
  1. 4.1My note names hero, rank range, map phase, and the repeated fight problem.
  2. 4.2My note leaves out names, handles, account identifiers, chat logs, and contact details.
  3. 4.3I am asking for one habit, not a full personality rewrite.
  4. 4.4I can test the answer in the next queue within one fight.

Source and privacy boundary

Gameplay context only

This checklist uses Pocket Rivals guide context and official-source review habits. It does not need real names, handles, account IDs, private chat logs, contact details, screenshots, or replay files. When in doubt, describe the fight pattern, not the person.
