Coach course // Better match notes

AI Coach Course

A short guide for getting better Match Analysis reads. Learn what to send, what to leave out, and how to turn one coach response into a cleaner next fight.

V1 learning path

Lesson 1

Give the coach one fight, not your whole match history

Pick the fight that keeps repeating: the first death, the failed push, the wasted ultimate, or the enemy dive that your team never solved.

Write one concrete moment: hero, map, fight phase, enemy pressure, and what you did.

Lesson 2

Add the context that changes the answer

The coach reads better when it knows your rank, map, mode, side or phase, main problem, and optional enemy hero. Missing context usually means a safer but less specific read.

If the coach says context is missing, add the missing detail before asking again.

Lesson 3

Turn the coach read into one next-queue habit

Do not try to fix everything at once. Take the mistake, safer plan, and drill, then queue with one habit you can remember under pressure.

After the next match, ask whether the same problem repeated or changed.

Coach note template

Use this structure when you are not sure what to write

1Hero + lobbyWho you played, your rank, the map, and the phase of the fight.
2Enemy pressureThe hero, cooldown, angle, or team setup that kept causing the problem.
3Your responseWhat you tried: where you stood, what cooldown you used, who you focused, or when you ulted.
4Fight resultWhat happened next: first death, lost objective, wasted ultimate, stagger, or failed reset.

Weak note to better note

Specific details beat frustration

Too vague

We kept losing fights and my team would not help. What should I do?

Better

I was Luna Snow in Gold on convoy defense. Their Spider-Man jumped our backline before I had freeze. I used both cooldowns early, died first twice, and we lost cart space before our Vanguard could turn.

The better note gives the coach a hero, rank, map phase, enemy threat, cooldown mistake, and result. That lets the answer become a next-fight plan instead of generic advice.

Strong examples

Notes that give the coach something real to read

  • 1I was Luna Snow on convoy defense. Their Spider-Man kept diving our backline before I had freeze. I used cooldowns early and died first twice.
  • 2I was Magneto on domination. We lost the first choke because I bubbled after my Duelist was already low and then backed up alone.
  • 3I was Star-Lord in Gold. I held ult too long, used it after two teammates died, and then we staggered into the next fight.

Bring one fight note to Match Analysis

The course is intentionally short: write one fight, get one read, test one habit, then come back with what changed.
